PCA Choice Pharmacy is the Columbus, OH division of PCA Pharmacy and is currently hiring for a 1st Shift Pharmacy Order Entry Technician!  The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, along with every other Saturday and every 4th Sunday.

Responsibilities

This position ensures that our customers are our first priority.  To be successful in this position, candidates must pay close attention to detail, read and understand medical orders, meet daily deadlines, be a team player, work well with other departments, work overtime when necessary, and be able to multi-task.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Enter customer information
  • Enter physician information
  • Enter new medication orders
  • Enter refill order
  • Read and enter medication orders
  • Answer phones

Qualifications

Candidates must have previous Pharmacy Order Entry experience.

 

Pharmacy Technician certification is required for this position.  New hires who are not certified will have 90 days from the date of hire to obtain certification. 

  

Candidates must be a friendly and hard working person who works well independently and as part of a team.  Good organizational skills, knowledge of prescription terminology, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment is required. Ability to work and communicate well with others to ensure the success of the company is a must.

 

Successful candidates will need:

  • Technician Certification (required within 90 days of hire)
  • Previous Pharmacy Order Entry experience required
  • Computer knowledge
  • Customer service skills
  • Telephone etiquette skills
  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • Available to work overtime when needed
  • Available to work weekends when needed
  • Knowledge of medical language and abbreviations
  • Detail oriented
  • High school diploma or GED
