    PCA Home Office (Louisville, KY) is seeking a Staff Accountant. 


    Summary: The PCA Staff Accountant maintains, analyzes and verifies financial records and preparation of financial and statistical reports.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Assists in the preparation and input of journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
    2. Analyzes and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts monthly and maintains appropriate supporting documentation of assigned accounts.
    3. Generates and distributes monthly financial and statistical reports to management and facility personnel.
    4. Assists with the generation of ad-hoc reports and assists management with interpretation and analysis of such reports.
    5. Assists in the review of financial statements for proper accounting treatment of revenue and expense items.
    6. Partners and consults with Company personnel on accounting-related issues.
    7. Provides training on accounting and related systems to Company personnel as needed.
    8. Prepares audit schedules and other reports for external auditors.
    9. Conserves resources by adhering to financial stewardship using prudent judgment related to expense(s) incurred by the Company.
    1. Minimal (2 days per quarter) travel including overnight stay as necessary.
    2. Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
    3. Supports campuses, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
    4. Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
    5. Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


    Knowledge of:

    • Accounting concepts, theories, practices, and procedu
    • Accrual based accounting p
    • Compliance with external regulatory agencies and organizations for all areas of responsibility
    • Financial Statement Preparation
    • Technical accounting procedures or government laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to the long- term care industry.

    Skills in:

    • Preparing, processing and maintaining transaction documentation, files and record
    • Gathering and compiling information and analyzing and adjusting discrepan
    • Project management from conception to evaluation with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adhere to deadlin
    • Interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, policies and procedu




    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent from an accredited college or university.




    • Three (3) to five (5) years accounting experienc
    • Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment pref
    • Exposure to and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
