PCA Pharmacy is in search of a Billing Associate. The Billing Associate preferably will have experience or knowledge in Long Term Care pharmacy billing or general pharmacy billing, insurance rejection management, insurance verification, insurance plan types, data input/posting and customer service skills. Background as a retail pharmacy technician would be beneficial.   The schedule for this position will be 1st Shift, Monday - Friday working  8 am - 4: 30 pm pm, along with every other Saturday and every 4th Sunday.   - Will work with multiple forms of insurance including: Medicare Part D, Commercial Insurance, Medicaid, etc.- Must communicate and troubleshoot problems that interfere with the payment of claims- Must follow up and consistently work to keep the number of rejected claims to a minimum- Must enter data pertaining to new admissions, as well as their pharmacy billing information, along with other relevant patient demographics- Will communicate over the phone to resolve customer/patient billing inquiries

Runs daily ECS log report to identify denied claims for Medicare or other insurers.2. Reviews and completes all denied claims in the ECS log for Medicare and other insurers3. Requests prior authorization on drugs that are denied for prior authorization.4. Obtains third-party insurance information on all necessary orders.5. Bills any non-covered drugs to the appropriate party6. Enters debit/credit adjustments in Framework as needed. 7. Ensures patient profiles are updated with payor changes and exceptions.8. Notifies facilities of changes and exceptions when appropriate.9. Assist with Order Entry and Dispensing duties as required to meet pharmacy goals. 10. Assists with special projects as needed.
